Blade Tip Bag – The BTB2000
One of our recent projects was creating a custom bag to lift blade tips for wind turbines. The customer required a specific solution, and our BTB2000 was born from their request.
This open-top bag was tailored for optimal functionality, measuring 1200mm in length, 150mm in width, and 2000mm in height. We added two lifting eyes on each side, positioned 1200mm from the top of the bag, making it perfect for safe and efficient handling. To further ensure the protection of the blade tip, we included 50mm foam padding at the base. The handles on both sides of the bag allow for easy manoeuvring. The finished products have already left our facility and are ready to support critical work in the wind turbine industry.
Nylon Sack for Lifting Chains
Another unique request came from a customer needing a nylon sack to lift chains. The client sent a picture and precise dimensions of what they were looking for, and from there, we collaborated closely with our Design Director to design a new concept. The result was a cost-effective solution that allowed the customer to replace just the nylon bag rather than purchasing an entirely new metal frame unit. The success of this design exemplifies how we work directly with customers to find efficient and cost-saving alternatives that meet their needs.
Platoon Float Covers for the Marina
Our local marina approached us with a request to create protective covers for their platoon floats. While this might have seemed niche, it was another opportunity for us to show our versatility. We designed and manufactured the perfect fit, and a delighted customer collected the covers this week. Our solution ensures durability and functionality, keeping the floats protected and in good condition for a long time.
Identification Tags for an International Client
One of our international clients requested our help in creating durable identification tags. They wanted tags that could withstand the test of time and were familiar with Pinpoint’s high-quality materials. We responded with a custom design: a solid and robust identification tag equipped with an eyelet for easy hanging and display. The customer was so pleased with the result that they placed a repeat order, reinforcing our reputation for delivering long-lasting solutions.
